Security Tools, Backtrack and loads of fun.Oh yeah!
Where does a hacker start? Well, suppose he wants to target an organization's website. The first thing he will do is a bit of information gathering, probably lots of googling. He will try and find out details like the IP address of the web server, location, security policies inside the organization etc.
3 types of tools are required:
A port scanning tool like NMAP
A tool for identifying the vulnerabilites like NESSUS
A tool for launching the attack, METASPLOIT

You need a linux distribution like Backtrack, which comes loaded in features for us. Unfortunately, Windows suck if you want to learn hacking.
